Charles Tennant & Co. entered the mining chemical industry in 1984 with the inception of Prospec Chemicals. It was initially built as a pilot plant for a Unique Xanthate Manufacturing Process and over the years has increased its production from 250 MT to 7000 MT.

After 10 years of success in mining chemical sales, a research and technical support group was formed, Tennants Research Technology Applications, better known as TRTA. Since 1994, new specialty collectors have been developed that further enhance metallurgical performance for our customers. More recently, a test program has been initiated with the express purpose to design Custom Reagents for particular mills.
